Sparkling St. Patrick’s Day Cocktail Recipe

We have a fun St. Patrick’s Day cocktail recipe – and no, it’s not green… but it is gold and sparkly!

The catch with this cocktail is it’s made with Runamok Sparkle Syrup – a delicious maple syrup from Vermont that we learned about at the Fancy Food Show. The “sparkle” comes from edible pearlescent mica. (You can buy Sparkle Syrup on Amazon or directly from Runamok.)

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces Irish whiskey
  • 4 ounces fresh-squeezed lime juice
  • 2 ounces Runamok Sparkle Syrup
  • 12 ounces club soda
  • lime wedges for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Fill each cocktail glass with ice cubes. To each glass, add 1 1/2 ounces whiskey and 1 ounce lime juice. Then, for each glass, stir in 1/2 ounce sparkle syrup. Pour 3 ounces of club soda over each glass. Garnish with lime wedges and serve immediately.

Cocktail-Making Tips

To make this cocktail extra-sparkly, here are a few tips:

  • Make sure your club soda is ice cold. That’ll give it lots of bubbles and pep.
  • If you want it stronger, of course add a greater proportion of whiskey.
  • If you can’t get away from the idea of a green cocktail, serve it in a clear green glass.
