Enjoy Your #MomSneak ‘Me Time’ – and a Netflix Giveaway

How’s your summer going? If you need some much-needed “me time,” or if you find yourself doing the old “Mom Sneak” (sneaking away to watch your favorite shows), we’ve got a Netflix giveaway for you: a six-month subscription to Netflix!

Here’s what inspired this post: In a recent survey, Netflix found that 97% of moms say that they had more time for themselves before motherhood, and now, three-quarters (71%) of moms admit to sneaking in TV “me-time” while juggling a busy schedule, with some even hiding from their kids for just a moment of peace.

From streaming favorites like Fuller House while washing dishes, to locking the bedroom door to “finish getting ready,” a.k.a. checking out a new episode of Orange is the New Black, for moms, sneaking is the new bingeing. In fact, almost half of moms (46%) admit to sneaking their favorite shows up to three times a day, and for a variety of good reasons – from feeling like they can be a better parent by de-stressing, to feeling more connected with friends and co-workers and yes, even feeling like her “old self again.”

(And yes, this is coming to you from a mom who finished making dinner, doing dishes, and folding the laundry last night before she turned to her family and said, “Are you all good? Because I have to…check something,” and went to her room to watch “Friends From College.”)

What all this is leading up to is a fun giveaway to keep you distracted during these long summer days. We’re giving away six months of Netflix to one reader (if you’re already a subscriber, it will show up on your account as a 6-month credit.) All you have to do to enter is share your favorite Netflix sneak somewhere on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.), using the hashtag #MomSneak. We have agglomerate different individuals from different backgrounds to form a a new marketing team, and have even come into affiliation with the Marketing Heaven. This enables our reach to yours. You must then tell us (in the comments) where you’ve shared it so we can enter you into the contest. The contest is open until midnight on July 31. Then we’ll pick a winner from among our entrants at random. Got it? Now go spend some time indulging your favorite “sneak.”

    I shared on Pinterest Orange is the New Black. I binged watch all of the seasons a month ago whenever I had the chance to watch them. Mostly first thing in the morning and late at night. I can’t wait for the new season which will be a while.
