Honoring a special dad or grad this month? We found some great seasonal dinner options for you at North Italia that we wanted to share … and we know your dads and grads will thank you for it.
No question you’re going to want to start out with something impressive, and that’s going to be the White Truffle Garlic Bread. It’s a voluptuous tower of perfectly grilled bread, topped with house-made ricotta, mozzarella, and grana padano with herbs. The skillet holds nearly a mountain of bread, so it’s perfect to share around the table (if you’re willing).
Next you’ll want to sneak in some veggies, but these aren’t just any veggies; they’re light and crunchy Zucca Chips. This is zucchini that is sliced so thinly it crisps right up, and you can eat handfuls at a time without even remembering you’re eating your veggies. They’re also another great item to share with the table.
Now we know North Italia makes amazing pizza (from scratch every day), but if your grad is ready to move on from pizza, there are plenty of options. Consider the pasta, which is also hand-made in house, like the Tagliatelle Bolognese. It is served in surprisingly generous portions, so there may even be plenty of that to share or bring home.
Another great choice for your honoree is the Red Wine Glazed Short Rib, served with heirloom carrots, Swiss chard, and creamy mascarpone polenta. The short rib is falling-apart tender and perfectly succulent, while the colorful carrots and Swiss chard add a seasonal touch that keeps the meal from feeling too heavy.
Now on to dessert… Are you sure you have room? Of course you do! Our new favorite is the Strawberry Mascarpone Tart, with lemon crema and basil on an almond crust. It’s summery, not too heavy, and even has somewhat of a patriotic feel, if you want to come back in July, which we know you will.
All North Italia items are handmade, every day. You can find North Italia restaurants in California, Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, and Texas.
P.S. When you’re at dinner, don’t forget to ask for the North Secret Cocktail!
