The Jolly Tomato is taking a break from the usual cooking at home to make a stop at the progressive fast food chain Chipotle. Our whole family loves Chipotle, but this month we’ve got even more reason to love them: their “Cultivating Thought” author series is now in its second installment. Through this fun project, Chipotle is featuring 10 new and original essays written by influential writers, authors, and thought leaders on its cups and bags. Talk about reading at the table! No one has an excuse to be bored anymore; and even the youngest non-readers can enjoy the cool artwork in each set.
The new contributors to the series are:

- Barbara Kingsolver – New York Times bestselling author and Pulitzer Prize finalist, The Poisonwood Bible, Animal, Vegetable, Miracle
- Amy Tan – Bestselling author, The Joy Luck Club
- Carlos Ruiz Zafron – Novelist, El Príncipe de la Niebla (The Prince of Mist)
The essays are themed as “two-minute” readings, and vary in topic and focus, representing the diversity of talent and range of perspectives of the writers. All ten stories are accessible online here.
