Dragon Fruit Shakes for Halloween

Want to serve a creep-tastic drink for your Halloween festivities? We’ve got you covered, with these purple Dragon Fruit Shakes, covered in mint “moss.”

First, start with magenta dragonfruit (we got ours as a sample from Melissa’s Produce). Then add these mint-flavored Mini Herb Crystals from Fresh Origins Micro Greens. (They are basically mint-flavored sugar crystals).

Next, we blend it up with some vanilla ice cream. And – poof! You are ready to thrill and delight a house full of ghouls and goblins. Happy Halloween!

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp mini herb crystals in mint flavor
  • 2 medium magenta dragon fruits peeled
  • 2 1/2 cups vanilla ice cream

Instructions

  1. Pour the herb crystals out onto a plate. Prepare 4 6-ounce glasses by wetting the rim. Gently roll the glasses around in the sugar until evenly rimmed.
  2. Place peeled dragon fruit and ice cream in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour milkshake into prepared glasses. Serve immediately.

P.S. Of course you know you can make these dragon fruit shakes anytime, right? It doesn’t have to be Halloween. If you’re looking for a non-traditional (OK, purple) milkshake any time of the year, this is your go-to shake.
