Every once in a while a fun new product crosses our desk (kitchen counter?) and we like to share the story. Our newest find is Simple & Crisp, a gluten-free, gourmet dried fruit crisp. These sweet/tart little crisps are super-thin slices of real fruit. Since they’re so light and crispy, they make a great cracker alternative and they go well with just about everything. Oh, and did we mention they’re incredibly kid-friendly?
Simple & Crisp has all sorts of fun ideas for pairings – fruit, charcuterie, cheese, coffee, wine, chocolate, caramel, ice cream – the list goes on. But we decided we like to eat them with a tangy yogurt dip. On our little platter, we’ve used the orange, apple, and pear crisps.
Tangy Yogurt Dip
1 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
1/2 cup raspberries
1 T. honey
1 ripe banana
Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth. Serve immediately or chill until serving. Serves 4.
